"I am quite possibly the most clueless surfer in the world. Not even I could not break Elle's endless patience. Not only did Elle hang back on multiple occasions in the surf to help me catch my first wave of the trip (and by help I mean, staying by my my side, explaining what was happening in the surf, telling me when to paddle, how fast, when to stand and quite literally physically PUSHING me onto waves) she also had me hold onto her leg rope while she power paddled me out of a rip. "Elle is the ideal surf coach. Not only does she know a lot about the ocean and surfing, but she's also a personal trainer, which helps a lot with surfing! She's able to tell you which exercises & movements are good for you to train on land, so you can then apply these movements and make those muscles stronger for surfing. She's a very patient person, willing to listen to you and tell you where to sit in the surf and even stay by your side to ensure you catch that wave you wanna catch! I remember she gave me this tip once on how to enhance my backhand turns; it was such a small change, but it improved my turns drastically! I was mind blown haha.
